Fight Zone is the brainchild of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu world champion, Ricardo Vieira, of the famed Vieira Bros.  In the the early millenium, Ricardo decided to open the Fight Zone academy in his hometown of Rio de Janeiro.  The premise was simple:  to provide the highest quality martial arts experience with world champion level Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as its base and the belief that every student has unlimited potential.  Soon enough, Fight Zone students started medalling in local tournaments and before long, world championships as well.  

Currently, Fight Zone world champion medalists include: Ary Farias, Yuri Simoes, Alan Nascimento, and many more.  Fight Zone has academies in Sweden, Brazil, and now, North America, with the headquarters being Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and Signal Hill, California.
